Greenwood Grove’s design character is derived from the nearby rural township of Cooroy and existing natural vegetated tributaries which traverse the site. The tributaries and associated open space enhance the ecological quality and provide a natural buffer within the site. They also create opportunities for both active and passive recreational uses by way of formal parkland, a playground and bush trails. The timber boardwalk, which crosses the tributary, provides an opportunity for viewing whilst also reinforcing the tributary’s presence along the site’s primary thoroughfare.
